ALS, 1789 May 30 : to Judge Sumner at Roxbury.

Paine writes to Judge Sumner regarding John Dunsmore & John Dunsmore, Jr. convicted of riot and fined. He presents Captain Josselyn's request, as the Representative of New Braintree, that they accept " ... the sons fine & half thecosts & release him that he may return to his family and go to work."

Robert Treat Paine (March 11, 1731 – May 11, 1814) was an American lawyer, politician, and Founding Father of the United States who signed the Continental Association and the Declaration of Independence as a representative of Massachusetts.
